Frikkadel starts his own business after losing his job. Before he realizes, he hires two unplanned staff members who change his own ideas about his business.

The Vetkoekpaleis opens and Frik experiences some problems. He is visited by a "health inspector" and is so nervous that he gives away 22 fatcakes for free before Worsie and Boeboe convince him that business according to the rules is the best.

While Boeboe will be writing exams at the Polly-Anne School of Beauty, her niece, Sue-Ellen, works in her place. Sue-Ellen convinced for Frik and Worsie that Spiros Takanakis wants to steal their fat cake recipe.

Business is quiet at the Vetkoekpaleis. Spiros hired a belly dancer to lure customers to his store. Frik also decides to arrange a show. Great is his surprise as the dancer, Lolita Queen of Love, an old girl of his arrives.

Frik encounters problems when he has his bakkie serviced. After great drama he gets a new bakkie. Boeboe writes an exam and gets cheated.

Frik arranges with the Sun City bus driver to stop at Eugene's shop for souvenirs, at the Vetkoekpaleis for food and at Tiger's garage for fuel. However, things go awry when they eat at Eugene's shop, go to the bathroom at the Vetkoekpaleis and wave at Tiger as they drive by. Worsie comes to the rescue.

Frik realises that business is not that easy at all, and consults a consultant. The consultant is hopelessly too expensive but things change when Boeboe discovers his little black book. Worsie attracts business through a radio station in Benoni where one of his friends works.

There's chaos when Worsie discovers women. Frik and Boeboe can't talk to him at all and his mother is upset. Frik gets Worsie an apartment and his mother is initially opposed to it but concedes when she realizes that she can't stop him.

Boeboes injured and should lie in traction for a week. Frik has to get someone to help out because otherwise he's going to miss an important rugby game. Tiger gives him a place's name where he can get waitresses, but to his shock it's an "escort agency".

Frik has to walk catfoot to stay in Poppie's good books. When Poppie feels sick and goes home early, Boeboe is convinced poppie is pregnant. Worsie tells his mother, who in turn lets the whole family know. Poppie is furious and things get aggravated when Frik pursues her and her boss.

Worsie is convinced that Boeboe leads a double life when he sees her picture in a magazine. Boeboe denies this and after a big mess she finds out that she has a double-goer in Benoni.

There's great drama in Nigel when Tiger didn't get tickets for the Springboks against the All Blacks Test. There is only one ticket available and everyone wants it. Worsie wins a second prize in a competition and the prize is two test tickets.

Poppie's work sends her for a course in Durban. Frik isn't very happy when he finds out that she'll be the only woman on the bus and buys her a plane ticket. A girl who was at school with Worsie makes her appearance in town.

Worsie and Boeboe get into an argument about how many "tjorts" there are in "olke bolke". Frikkadel wants to buy a ski boat and call it "Poplap". Poppie is very moody. A visit to the doctor explains the moodiness and Frikkadel's boat shopping is a thing of the past.

Frikkadel desperately wants to attend the Blue Bulls' rugby match, but Poppie wants to go away for the weekend instead. When the bank is robbed while Poppie and Worsie are in the bank, Frikkadel's priorities change.

Spiros also starts making fat cakes and Frikkadel realizes that he will have to do something to make the Vetkoekpaleis more popular. Worsie desperately wants to win the competition prize, but he is not allowed to enter.

Ella and Apie have marital problems and she moves in with Frikkadel and Poppie. Boeboe also gets into trouble when Spiros's daughter finds out about her fiance's dalliances with Boeboe.

Sherridon is promoted to Zero Six. Poppie drags Frikkadel to an educational film screening. There's trouble when Poppie finds "Randy Mandy's" business card in Frikkadel's jacket pocket. Worsie gets the blame for this.

Sue-Ellen upsets Worsie. Worsie decides not to bet Frik's money on the horses but instead to use it for a better purpose. A cute blonde saves Worsie when two burglars make their appearance.

Things are going well with Worsie and his girlfriend until he gets a letter from a lawyer. The Vetkoekpaleis expects a visit from a journalist. Vetkoekpaleis does appear in the newspaper, but someone else in the Vetkoekpaleis gets much more attention on the back page.

Worsie orders him a bride by post but in Frik's name. Poppie is furious when the agency calls to confirm the order.

Worsie wants to establish an ice cream corner in the Vetkoekpaleis but Frik doesn't want to know anything about it.

Worsie and Frikkadel become partners in an ice cream corner in the Vetkoekpaleis. Everything goes smoothly until a name for the corner has to be decided.

Frikkadel becomes the victim of a syndicate that sells original World Cup rugby balls to innocent rugby fans for thousands of rands.

Worsie takes leave and flies to Margate for his holiday, or so everyone thinks. On his return, he can testify that the Chinese police are very strict.

Worsie's long-lost love, Koekie, unexpectedly arrives at the Vetkoekpaleis.

Frikkadel's dream of coaching a rugby team comes true if he can coach the primary school's first team. Boeboe's dream to sing and make a CD is also coming true.

Worsie gets a job offer from Spiros. The offer promises to provide both business and pleasure as Worsie is also to marry Spira, Spiros's daughter. The police summon Worsie to explain what happened to the three nurses who were at his party.

Frikkadel goes to rugby and Worsie is in charge of the shop. When Poppie tries to call Frikkadel, a certain Jill answers and it's clear that Frikkadel and his pals are not at Loftus. Fanny is a singer and wants to present a concert in the interest of rugby. Fanny does not go down well with Poppie, but Worsie is very pleased with her. Boeboe flashes Worsie to change his view of her.

Poppie feels that Ruben should get a little brother or sister. Frik, who could not go to Loftus for a year, strongly objects to the proposal. He just doesn't see chance for everything that a new baby brings. Worsie unwittingly helps Poppie to convince Frikkadel when he explains life's priorities to Boeboe in the kitchen.

Sheridon comes to tell Frik that there are rumors that someone is getting married in the Vetkoekpaleis. Without properly confirming the story, Ella runs away with wedding and reception arrangements. The big day arrives and everything is ready, except Worsie. He just disappeared without a trace.

Worsie returns from honeymoon. When Koekie find Worsie and Boeboe in a very suggestive position on the floor of the Vetkoekpaleis, the devil is loose. Sheridon also gives Poppie a traffic ticket and she is not very happy about it.

Ella interferes and cleans Worsie and Koekie's apartment. Worsie gets a call about a break-in at their apartment and Frik tries to deal with it. Ella ends up in prison and Worsie in the Dog Box.. but at least only for a while.

Worsie is angry at Koekie and wants to take revenge by means of a Trompoppie competition. They later make peace in the storage room, where Frik and Poppie have also broken a shelf talking...

Frik and Worsie attend a Small Business Administration Conference in Durban and the women have to hold down the fort at work. The women are very angry and when Sheridon tells them that he saw the two men on TV at a rugby match, they are properly angered.

Poppie would like to get pregnant again. Worsie gets jealous when Sheridon brings up a story about Koekie and an innocent man gets coffee over his head. Koekie would like to undergo an operation, or two, to make her feel more like a woman. Worsie disagrees. Boeboe storms out of the store. Koekie comes to help out as a waiter and when Boeboe returns it's war and Poppie has to come and resolve the situation.

It is wrongly suspected that Worsie has been kidnapped and the Police, Koekie, Ella and Sheridon team up to search for him. Fogele, who is temporarily helping out in the Vetkoekpaleis, mistransmits messages and this worsens the situation even further.

When Boeboe can't work for two weeks, Beryl comes to help out as a waitress. In the process, Frik and Worsie learn that only their own women may step on them. One of Ella's dark secrets is revealed.

Poppie enters her and Ruben for the pharmacy's Mother and Child Baby Competition. However, the photo is too daring for Frik's liking. Ella gambles away all her and Apie's grocery money and moves in with Worsie and Koekie.

Ella's car ends up in the pastor's swimming pool and Frik and Worsie go to help. In their absence, Boeboe, Beryl and Koekie get involved in a fight that almost ends in a court case.

Sheridon and Barbie's relationship gets serious. However, Worsie is in big trouble when Koekie finds out he went to Meryl and Beryl to fix a tap. Boeboe is looking for a matchmaker and devises a plan to get the new vet's attention.

Boeboe gets a marriage proposal and immediately resigns as a waitress at the Vetkoekpaleis. Frik and Worsie want to appoint Beryl in Boeboe's place, but Ella, Poppie and Koekie do not approve of this at all. Sheridon gives himself a traffic ticket.

Worsie attaches sentimental value to the work van and would like to buy it from Frik. An old boyfriend of Ella dies of a heart attack and Worsie is requested to see the lawyers urgently. A dramatic disclosure drastically changes the lives of Worsie and everyone close to him.
